If it makes you feel any better, I spent the first gorgeous day, all day Saturday, in the library. And by all day, I really do mean all day. I hadn't done too much of that this summer, and it reminded me what real college life is like. I'm pretty sure this semester has set me back in terms of productivity...3 hours and only 1500 words? This could partially be attributed to the fact that I couldn't write more than 2 sentences without switching over to my live feed of the Gopher/UCLA basketball game [GOOOOO GOPHERS!].
Today, Sunday, was a beach day. I initially wasn't feeling like spending all day at the beach, but I was reminded that we don't have many of these days left, and I was easily persuaded. It also helped that we were going to Coogee, the last major beach on my "Must Go Here" list that I hadn't been to yet. Now that it's fall in Sydney, it's definitely getting cooler, and we're not sure whether or not today was potentially our last beach day. It ended up being incredibly relaxing, and I made major gains with my tan. Two and a half hours, limited sunscreen, and no sunburn = very successful day.

Basically all of Sydney thought it was a good day for the beach
I seriously live in paradise.
Pretty excited that I only have a 4-day week both this week and next for Easter. [I think the U should take a hint...I would be having 0 days off there.] Hopefully there will be lots of fun to be had, as soon as I get all my homework done!
G'Day Bailey! Always great to see another post. Yes, it appears from the all of the beautiful pics that you do indeed live in paradise. What a beautiful day you had! It's nice to know that you are getting some studying in while you are there. Our Gophers play in about 4.5 hours. Hope you are able to watch some. Go Gophers!! After watching this and work, go find a Dugong to hug. Cheers and luvs, dad
ReplyDeleteHi Bailey,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are busy busy these last days. Glad you got to go to the beach one more time yesterday (on Sunday). From the pictures you sent, one can see that MANY others had the same idea for the day. I hope your weather continues to be nice the remaining weeks you are there. I am sure you are looking forward to your weekend trip to Melbourne in just over a week and a half. Thanks again for all that you did for us while we were in Sydney. It was a wonderful time! Enjoy every minute of your remaining time there. Love, Gram
